Yes. Jeep and bus safari are the main experiences. The reserve holds large elephant and gaur numbers, a strong tiger population and around 250–270 bird species, making it one of the best wildlife parks in South India.
Jeep safari, bus safari, Kabini boat or coracle rides, wildlife photography and short visits to Iruppu Falls, Tholpetty (Wayanad) and nearby tea or coffee estates.
Always book online in advance. In peak season, same-day tickets are often already sold. Walk-in booking is not reliable.

Carry the same original photo ID used at booking — Aadhaar, driving licence, voter ID, passport, student ID or OCI. Digital copies are usually not accepted.
There is no full-day safari. Rides run in two shifts — morning and evening — about 2–3 hours each.
There is no guaranteed gate. Kakanakote (Kabini side) and Nanachi both perform well seasonally. For better chances, many guests book both morning and evening slots or two gates across 2 days.
Sharing jeep is about ₹1,900 (Indian) / ₹2,800 (foreigner). Bus safari is about ₹1,200 / ₹2,000. Hotel transfers and camera fees are extra. Check the booking page for the live estimate.
Kabini is the backwater landscape on the Nagarahole–Bandipur border (Kakanakote side). Nagarahole itself has dense lowland forest and high wildlife density. Bandipur sightings are often on more open, higher ground. Many guests book both Nagarahole gates for a fuller trip.
November to February is cooler with good sightings. April–May concentrates animals at water. Overall, October to May is the practical safari season. Monsoon can close or muddy tracks. See Best Time to Visit.

Once generated by the Forest Department, safari permits are typically non-refundable and non-transferable. Resort cancellations follow the hotel’s own policy.
